Butter Manufacturer Installs Cassel XBD10 X-Ray

by | Sep 3, 2019 | Marketing, Sales, X-Ray

A butter manufacturer identified that a risk of a Teflon contaminant from the process could be undetected by their installed metal detectors.  Also, since they were using a foil to cover the butter in the pack, only a Ferrous In Foil Metal detector could be used, meaning only ferrous contaminants could be detected.

The solution was to install a Cassel X-Ray machine which meets all the supermarket specifications including inspection of Stainless Steel and Teflon.

The packs of butter are presented at 240 packs per minute, a sensitivity of 1.5mm Stainless Steel was required and 3.0mm Teflon.  The X-Ray easily detected this within the production cycle.

The unit has proved to be easy to set-up by the staff on site, records of any contaminants are stored on the machine and can be easily recalled from the date and time stamp.

The X-ray has a remote assistance so no technicians are required to visit should any setting require a higher level of set-up

All Metals can be easily detected, Wires down to 1.2mm, Teflon and Stone.
